Engaging Immigrant Seniors Program (EISP) @ Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre (OCCSC)

We are looking for volunteers who can speak Mandarin or Cantonese for our Engaging Immigrant Seniors Program. Positions available include: 1. Phone Greeting Volunteer -There are some Chinese seniors in Ottawa who live alone at home. They need someone who can regularly check on them by phone. 2. Driving Volunteer -Offer transportation and/or assistance at medical appointments for Chinese seniors. 3. Interpreter for Seniors -Interpreter for senior%u2018s medical or other important appointments 4. Home Visiting Volunteer -Monthly friendly home visits for frail or isolated Chinese seniors. 5. Volunteer Events Coordinator (Senior Program) -Assist with organizing and coordinating various events and activities for Chinese seniors.
