Title of Position: Laundry Assistant
Reporting to: Nursing Department
Purpose of Position: To provide opportunity to interact with residents in an informal setting while putting away their laundry.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Receive laundry cart from laundry department
- Neatly put away laundry in resident's closet and drawers
- Ensure that clothes are put in the right rooms, closet and drawers.
Commitment Required: Daily basis, but time is flexible
Qualifications And Personal Qualities Required:
- Friendly
- Honest and reliable
- Patience, tactful, well-mannered, polite, flexible
- should feel comfortable being with resident(s)
Training/Orientation Provided:
- General volunteer orientation
- Initial orientation with process
- ongoing orientation and training within the home
