Assisting participants in a program designed for individuals with special needs (i.e. post stroke, C.O.P.D., Parkinson's, joint replacement etc). The program includes assisting the individuals with walking and stretching.
Tuesday and Thursday Afternoons 2:00-3:30pm
-Training and orientation provided.
-Valuable experience working with individuals with special needs.
-Tuesday 2:30pm - 3:30pm and/or Thursday 2:30 - 3:30pm

Centrally located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, Jack Purcell Community Centre has an 18-meter warm water pool, which offers regular aquatic programming and specialized programs for individuals with special needs. The facility also has a fully accessible weight room, five meeting rooms of various sizes and access to an adjacent school gym.
Jack Purcell offers a variety of programs for seniors, persons with special needs, and aquatics. Through a partnership with the Jack Purcell Recreation Association, children\\\'s non-aquatic, adult general interest and fitness programs are also available.
