The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is currently seeking adult volunteers with daytime availability, in order to balance the hospital's current team of student and adult volunteers. Adult candidates can be retired, semi-retired, consultants, Domestic Engineers/home workers. All volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment to the hospital of one year, working a set shift, once-a-week. The majority of placements are scheduled weekdays during daytime hours, and most shifts are two to four hours long.
Provide high quality customer service to customers and support the delivery of food services to Ambulatory Care Clinics, Emergency Department waiting rooms, Operating Room (OR) wait room and the ICU shared parent area.Greet customers, Sell Coffee Shop products, Handle money, provide exact change, maintain inventory, ensure that supplies and products are stocked and organised,Provide information and answer questions on the hospital services.
