About the speaker: Tim O’Loan is an Indigenous survivor who has served 10 years in the military. In 2010 he joined the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada as the Advisor to the TRC Chair the Hon. Murray Sinclair. Throughout his time in the TRC, he shared his perspective to various divisions of the government, educational institutions, and the private sector across North America. By being able to share his life story as an Indigenous veteran, will encourage other Indigenous peoples to share their untold truths, educate the public on the uncomfortable past regarding Canada’s relationship with Indigenous peoples, and ultimately initiate meaningful conversations with one another on the 94 calls to action.
