Supporting Not-for-Profits

Customized Workshops

Volunteer Ottawa can help address your organizations specific learning objectives with a customized training session.

Volunteer Ottawa offers workshops customized for your organization. Whether it is training for Board members, management or staff, we will meet with you to determine your needs, develop a workshop that meets your requirements, and deliver it at your workplace or virtually. We can offer anything from a ½ hour lunch-and-learn to a full day staff retreat.

Customized learning experiences can be offered on any subject required, including, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Not-for-profit governance – Board training
  • Project Management
  • Strategic Planning
  • Volunteer Management
  • And more!

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

As more organizations are exploring their equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) policies and objectives, VO is proud to offer workshops that can help you reach your EDI goals by measuring progress and developing policies that are specific to your organization. As an extension of our Diversity in Leadership Ottawa (DLO) program, these customized EDI workshops can help all levels of your organization. Whether you are looking for EDI best practices for policy creation and governance for your leadership team, or training front line service workers, VO can help you each step of the way.

If you need a custom training session or have another topic of interest, please contact [email protected] to discuss options and pricing.

“Volunteer Ottawa worked with us to adapt and adjust their existing suite of workshops to suit the specific needs of the network of food security programs that we support. Being able to offer training that is relevant to the nuances of the program types our agencies offer added a great deal of value to the already well-established and useful workshops. The facilitators were flexible and easy to work with, and the VO team was responsive to our evolving needs. Thank you!"
