About Organization
The Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer Association is a registered charitable organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life of patients at The Ottawa Hospital's Rehabilitation Centre (TRC) by: A) Providing financial and “in-kind” assistance to hospital patients of the Centre; B) Providing support for recreational programs and materials for the enjoyment of the patients, in cooperation with TRC staff; C) Responding to clinical/non-clinical requests from the Centre for non-capital equipment and supplies for improving the quality of life and enjoyment of the patients; D) Enhancing the TRC’s volunteer program by supporting volunteer development, retention and recognition; E) Developing and implementing optimal fundraising activities; F) Practicing effective stewardship of limited resources and high ethical/moral standards; G) Collaborating with TRC, TOH and TOH Foundation to maximize healthcare efforts which will benefit TRC patients. The Association raises funds through the operation of a Café, an annual charity auction and other fundraising events such as the fall bazaar, book/chili sales and many more. Donations are most welcome, all go towards funding hospital patient care.
