Upstream Ottawa, formerly Project Upstream Ottawa Carleton Inc, has been in operation since 1985. Upstream's staff and Board of Directors are committed to providing innovative individualized services to its consumers based on best practices and common sense. Upstream Ottawa provides a range of support services to persons with mental illness. Services include: -Mental Health Intensive Case Management - Our operational core activity -Family-focused Case Management- liaison with network and coordination of services -Advocacy -Informal counseling -Life skills teaching/coaching (ex. budgeting, nutrition, cooking, cleaning, medication management) -Group facilitation -Crisis prevention/intervention -Goal development and strategies/support for achievement -Practical supports and assistance Extras: Upstream is know in the community for going above and beyond in serving those most vulnerable.
