Garry J. Armstrong is managed in accordance with the regulations of the Long Term Care Act, the standards of the Canadian Council of Health Service Accreditation and the policies of the City of Ottawa and the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care. The City’s Community and Protective Services Department is accountable to the community through the Health and Social Services Committee of Ottawa City Council. Thanks to our dedicated staff and Volunteers help create a welcoming environment that encourages the families and friends of residents to be a part of the life at our homes. We recognize the importance of being part of the community and provide large, multi-purpose areas in all of the homes where residents, families and friends can gather. We appreciate and recognize the time, creativity and knowledge that volunteers bring to the lives of the residents.
