Being familiar with concepts such as equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) should be a foundational part of non-profit work. But it is often the case that staff in the non-profit sector have not had the chance to fully explore these concepts in a way that renders them more actionable. Join this session to engage in a meaningful exploration of these concepts and how they intersect with the reality of non-profit work.

Learning outcomes

Participants in this workshop will:

  • Gain, through concrete examples and scenarios, a foundational understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • Situate themselves and evaluate their social positioning to gain insights into biases and gaps in lived experiences
  • Explore the concrete impact that approaching non-profit programs and services through an EDI lens can have

Who should attend?

  • Generalist and specialist non-profit staff
  • Non-profit managers and leaders
  • Individuals working with equity-deserving groups
