We all know that having strong privacy practices in place is important, but its often an area that gets overlooked…….until we need it. Having strong privacy practices in place can be a challenge for not-for-profit organizations – the laws are complex, resources and expertise can be limited and its often a challenge to even know what is needed and where to start.

This session will help introduce privacy, specifically with a not-for-profit lens. We will talk about the importance of having a privacy program, how the laws apply to not-for-profit organizations, challenges and common mistakes you might face and will provide guidance on simple steps you can take now, to help improve your organization’s privacy position.

You should leave the session with a better understanding of your organization’s obligations with regards to privacy and a range of ideas as to how you might implement changes, based on your needs.
