- Better understand the roles and responsibilities of volunteer board members
- Tackle the most common issues that have the greatest impact on overall board effectiveness
We will review current trends, best-practices and outline tangible strategies you can use today. You will leave the training with the means to improve the governance of your organization.
Facilitator
As CEO, Danielle Rocheleau, C.Dir., leads the Laridae team, driving the future growth of the company, ensuring we have a strong, values-based workplace culture, and that we continue to prioritize our client’s experiences. An entrepreneurial, socially-minded, strategic thinker, Danielle deploys collaborative approaches to problem-solving.
Danielle, a Chartered Director (C.Dir.) from McMaster University, has distinguished herself as a prominent governance professional in the non-profit sector. Her extensive governance expertise is built on a foundation of over a decade of experience serving on various non-profit boards and spearheading governance training initiatives across Canada.
She has developed and delivered comprehensive governance training programs tailored to non-profit organizations. Annually, she trains over 15 Board of Directors, focusing on roles and responsibilities, governance structures, and fiduciary duties.
Danielle’s role extends beyond training; she actively assists boards with performance assessments, governance restructuring, and policy reviews. She collaborates with approximately 20 boards yearly on strategic planning and other governance issues. Her professional work also includes significant volunteer contributions to boards, where she has played crucial roles in enhancing governance systems and amplifying female voices in governance.
