Nonprofits attract employees who want to make a difference in the world, who care deeply about others, and who want to create sustainable and inclusive growth. These are passionate and skilled workers who want to perform at their peak, feel as though their work is valued, and continue to serve their communities.
A CanadaHelps Survey of nearly 3000 Canadian charities from November 2022 found that after inflation, staff burnout was the second highest concern, as 60% of charities surveyed reported the same number of paid staff despite more service demands.
To prevent and manage burnout in the sector and continue to serve our communities in the ways we want to, we must cultivate resilience.
This interactive workshop will include discussions on what resilience is and why it’s important and share tools to cultivate resilience, including self-coaching strategies.
