Onyx Community Services helps those who are struggling with:
– Addiction issues
– Domestic abuse or violence
– Mental health challenges
– Access to social services
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The volunteer gains valuable work experience by learning to interact with people and clients. Onyx Community Services assist those in need in the community. Some of our clients have issues with mental health and addiction; it is important for volunteers to treat them with respect, kindness and empathy.

How will the organization benefit?
The organization benefits by having volunteers dedicate their time to the community in lieu of pay. We offer a reference to the volunteer when he/she has completed the required hours for the volunteer position that he/she has accepted.
