The Adult Day Program provides clients in the early staged of dementia with a day of stimulation activities and opportunities to socialize and form friendships. Supervised, enriched activities improve quality of life and are tailored to meet the unique mental, social and physical needs of individuals with memory loss. Stimulation in the form of quizzes, discussion groups, games, crafts, sing-a-longs, chair exercises and recreational activities are all part of this amazing program. Volunteers are needed during the day from 9 – 3:30 or on Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 3:30.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteers will understand how working with older adults living with dementia can help to support these individuals through a safe and fun environment. Training will be provided.
How will the organization benefit?
We cannot run our programs without the support of volunteers.
