The volunteer assistant treasurer supports key financial planning and reporting activities via direct shadowing and guidance from the treasurer. Excellent learning opportunity for accounting student or junior professional with possibility of succeeding current treasurer based on mutual interest.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteers will have the opportunity to provide advice and support to a lean organisation and its operational, governance and financial reporting requirements. Volunteers will frequently work with other board members and members of the community to create fundraising initiatives and community partnerships that promote and sustain the OSO’s mission of creating memorable musical experiences. This experience will provide many occasions to practice and/or sharpen skills in human resources, fundraising, and non-profit oversight.
