Beer Tents are beverage tents where patrons can get canned beer, wine and coolers and non-alcoholic beverages. Duties will be assigned by a supervisor on a shift-by-shift basis.

Are you quick on your feet and like staying on your toes? Do you work well with others and excel at two-way communication with a variety of other team members? If you answered ‘YES!’ to all of these questions, join our Beer Tents team where you’ll sling suds and other cool refreshments for our thirsty patrons.

Duties:
-arrive on-time at tent and check in with beer tent supervisor on-duty
-stock, set up, clean up & close (lift or move small loads, approx. 25 lbs.)
-provide responsible drink service to patrons in cooperation with Cashiers
-assist the Beer Tent Supervisor as needed (e.g. ensure all products are stocked properly in tubs & coolers, confirm inventory in POD, clean and sanitize tables, break down boxes, clear tent of debris, etc.)
-promptly report observed irregularities in alcohol service, security, or finances to the Beer Tent Supervisor
-manage crowd and assist patrons (as required)

Requirements:
-must be 18 years of age or over
-Accessibility Standards Customer Service Training
-Smart Serve certification
-this position requires individuals to be energetic & responsible
-must work efficiently, in pairs, with or without direct supervision
-must wear non-slip, closed-toe shoes (e.g. runners)
-willing to stand for long periods of time willing to work in all types of weather
-must wear beer tent volunteer shirt provided, with a name tag (if available)

Skills:
-able to multitask efficiently
-effective communication skills
-able to switch tasks easily
-excellent interpersonal skills
-able to anticipate needs of fellow volunteers & offer assistance

Assets:
-previous bartending and/or serving experience
-willing to pick up extra shifts on very short notice
-bilingualism
