Description
Bingo is an big part of what residents in long term care love to do. We need volunteers on Fridays at 2pm to help with our bingo program. Volunteers would arrive around 1:30 to set up, run the program from 2 – 3pm and then tidy up after the program is finished. This is a great opportunity for students who need hours and have Friday afternoons off or retirees who are free on Friday afternoons.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteers will learn how to engage with folks who have some cognitive decline. Volunteers will be rewarded with the pure enjoyment experienced by residents who are living in long term care and like to participate in activities.
How will the organization benefit?
We cannot run our programs without the benefit of volunteers.
