The Youth Infringement Festival is currently seeking four (4) new board members! There is no financial commitment to join, and members are expected to attend 6-8 meetings a year for a 2-year term length. The annual festival takes place in March, and the busier time would be from January-March. Members must be passionate about working with youth (ages 16-25) and participate in fundraising activities.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Help make an impact on youth theatre artists and lead in Ottawa's art-based education! The YIF is a long-standing performing arts festival that has produced over 150 new plays completely created by youth under 25 in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. Our alumni include artists such as Governor General Award winning playwright Jordan Tannahill and Giller Prize winning novelist Sean Michaels.
How will the organization benefit?
Our organization relies on our volunteer board of directors to provide oversight to our staff and participants. The board is available to guide our 3 staff members and provide their expertise regarding: Donor management, social media management, governance, accounting and finance, and fundraising.
