The Social Media/PR Director is a member of the Ability First Ottawa Board of Directors. This is generally a two-year commitment or longer.
The Social Media/PR Director will work to ensure that Ability First Ottawa has a presence on various Social Media platforms and to do some public relations work for AFO.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The Volunteer will learn valuable life lessons from being involved with a small but mighty charity. There are many items of social media, grant management, events management to name a few that can be undertaken by this Director position. The volunteer will be able to learn and grow in this field. In addition, since our organization helps people with disabilities, you should be proud of what has been accomplished to date and what will be accomplished in the future.

Ability First Ottawa is a charity that is run solely by volunteers so, we greatly benefit from all of our volunteers. The Board of Directors consists of 8 members, one of those being this position. Come join us and make a difference for people living with disabilities.
