Description
TEMBO is currently seeking two board members to join our Board. We seek an individual who understands technology, including websites and CRMs. We also seek an individual with an understanding of communications. Both roles require the individual to be able to lead a committee and contribute to this working Board. An understanding and appreciation of education and/or micro-business in Africa would be a benefit.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The volunteers who join the Board of TEMBO will gain a great deal of experience through contributions to discussions regarding finances, fundraising and communications. A sense of accomplishment and the ability to make a difference will also benefit the volunteers.
How will the organization benefit?
The organization currently has two openings on the Board for a 3 year term. The all-volunteer organization will benefit from the experience and knowledge which the volunteers bring to their role as Board member. Board members are expected to Chair a sub-committee and as such the organization will benefit from the coordination of the committees.
Volunteer location:
Some Board meetings during the year are held at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Kanata. Board members have the option of participating virtually by Zoom.
