The Education Foundation of Ottawa is seeking committed, engaged and passionate individuals to serve on our Board of Directors. We are currently interested in two candidates. Please note that marketing or legal background/experience is considered an asset.
The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the Foundation’s operations while ensuring alignment with the mission. This involves establishing the strategic direction, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and maintaining the financial viability of the Foundation.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This volunteer position will allow you to cultivate and grow your skill sets as a leader. Through your service, you will also expand your network of peers, professionals, community leaders, and thought leaders, which provides new avenues for knowledge sharing, development, outreach, influence, and mentorship.
How will the organization benefit?
Board members from different disciplines can complement and enhance the strategic direction of the Education Foundation of Ottawa. They can also help create and maintain our mission while providing guidance, direction and honest feedback.
Volunteer location:
The majority of meetings will be virtual, however, our office is located at 133 Greenbank Road, Ottawa, ON K2H 6L3.
