Board of Directors
Description
We are recruiting for two positions on the Board of Directors for Ottawa’s 2SLGBTQIA+ choir, Tone Cluster. We are looking for an individual who will contribute to realizing this long-established organization’s vision and objectives, guide its long-term development and financial sustainability, provide leadership and make a strong commitment to supporting a sense of belonging and inclusion.
General Board member responsibilities for both positions:
–Available to attend monthly board meetings (currently held once per month, usually the third Thursday of every month from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm EST, virtual format for now)
–Additionally, each Board member is expected to contribute time during the month chairing or participating in Board committees, preparing for Board meetings and contributing in other ways to the healthy operations of the choir. Board members would normally contribute between 10 and 20 hours per month on Board duties.
–Take on tasks to help ensure Tone Cluster’s long-term development and financial sustainability
–Willingness to participate in Tone Cluster activities including its concerts and other events
–Ability to work effectively, professionally, and collaboratively
–Leverage specialized skills and perspective to directly support the work of the organization,
