Description

The Treasurer provides financial oversight over the charity’s ac vi es and records and ensures that all
incoming and outgoing funds are controlled and accounted for. The Treasurer is responsible for ensuring
that the organisation’s books are audited annually and is the main contact person for the auditor. The
Treasurer is also responsible for ensuring that the organiza on complies with the per nent financial
sec ons of the Canadian Not-for-profit Corpora ons Act (CNCA) and that all ac vi es and repor ng is in
line with the CRA Charities guidelines. The Treasurer currently works with a Treasurer Assistant on the
monthly and annual tasks.
