Experience in bookkeeping is essential. Knowledge for not for profit is desirable but not required. Training will be provided as required.
Normally, a maximum to 2 to 3 hours a week is required. There is flexibility to volunteer only on a biweekly basis. FCEF books do require to be completed shortly after each month end for review by the Treasurer.
Working with the FCEF Treasurer, perform general bookkeeping duties using the Quickbooks Pro software. Ensures that all monthly transactions are updated in the FCEF financial system on a monthly basis. These include all revenue receipts, vendor payments and employee payroll. Updating of revenue related to Paypal, Shopify and Square accounts. Training will be provided. Ensure payroll is updated biweekly (note: the FCEF has only one part time worker)
Ensures the correctness of transactions by reviewing the types of expenditures and revenues and ensures they are coded to the correct Chart of Accounts item and correct Class. Works with the Treasurer to add any new Chart of Account or other elements to FCEF codes.
