Are you in need of volunteer hours for school? Do you enjoy connecting with people and visiting new businesses? Are you a lover of music, especially jazz? JazzWorks Canada is looking for volunteers to help distribute brochures and posters around the Outaouais area for our annual Summer Jazz Camp. For 30 years, JazzWorks has held this educational jazz camp at CAMMAC in the last week of August. You will be liaising with our volunteer co-ordinator to cover up to 20 locations (per volunteer) around the Outaouais, handing out our trifold brochures and posters for camp. Locations have been predetermined; you will receive a list. A car is an asset and you can expect to spend an average of 4 hours volunteering. We try to match the volunteer with an area near them to decrease travel time. A Zoom meeting will be held to brief new volunteers prior to doing the routes. Please visit our website at for more information on our organisation.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This opportunity is intended for students who need volunteer hours, for people who like to get out and connect with others in their neighbourhood, and for those who love jazz or music in general and would like to support a non-profit organisation that promotes jazz education in Ottawa. The volunteer will be offered a one-year Friendship with JazzWorks at no charge, which includes discounts at our events and at partner retailers (L&M, Steve's Music). This is especially beneficial for those looking for folks in the Ottawa jazz scene and is a wonderful way to meet other like-minded people.
How will the organization benefit?
JazzWorks is a small non-profit and charity organisation. Our staff and Board occasionally need help to carry out our activities and we rely heavily on volunteerism. With volunteers to help hand our brochures, JazzWorks will be able to fulfil its mandate to distribute promotional material to over 200 businesses around the Outaouais area.
