The Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA) is looking for volunteers to assist with operations of their bookstore located in the Main Branch of the Ottawa Public Library.
Friends bookstore volunteers are responsible for moving and arranging boxes/carts of books (up to 30lbs), sorting, packing, and shelving books, preparing boxes of books for shipment, accepting donations of books, assisting members of the public, and handling sales.
Training is provided but previous experience working with the public and the ability to work independently are key assets for this opportunity.
