Description
Every third weekend of the month we host our local community African, Caribbean and Black social group at our 19 Main Street location.
Families with children will come and eat, socialize and connect to ACO services.
As a childminding volunteer, you would be responsible for monitoring these children.
This can be in the form of structured or unstructured arts, crafts, games, movie setup, etc.
It is a low supervision environment, but there will always be staff on hand should any unexpected situations occur.
VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK OR SIMILAR IS PREFERRED.
Please e-mail [email protected] to apply for the position with a resume
*Applications through the VO app will NOT be considered
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Great for people who like to work with kids. Valuable experience for people working with children. Generally a fulfilling type of work for people who enjoy giving back to local community.
Highly social and group oriented volunteering.
How will the organization benefit?
Increased capacity and ability to deliver services to families. Many of our participants cannot afford childcare, and so onsite childminding can be a major boon in lowering the barrier of entry for receiving services.
