Description

Healthy is top of mind for everyone these days but never more so for older adults. Would you like to work with talented individuals who have expertise in public policy and advocacy and professionals who have experience in the various sectors of the health care continuum?

Our Health Committee works with and for older adults to improve their quality of life by influencing public policy and practices related to health and health care. Your organization and facilitation skills will ensure the COA Health Committee’s success in achieving its goals.

Committee Chairs, with the support of the Advocacy Chair and senior staff, lead the development and execution of an annual workplan and coordinate the work of any sub-committees. Your interest in health and older adults, and perhaps your personal experience, will help the committee bring to light any issues or opportunities that affect Ottawa’s older adults.

The Health Committee will benefit from your leadership and oversight of the logistics of the committee’s operations. Collaboration with other committees, regional partners, and other community health organizations is key to developing and implementing health and health care strategies.

Your fluency in French would be welcome. We also recognize the diversity of the population we serve and encourage applicants who reflect this diversity.
