Co-Chairs Transportation Committee
Description
Are you concerned about and want to see improved transportation options for older adults and persons with disabilities, whether they get around on foot, in vehicles, or on public transit in urban, suburban, and rural Ottawa?
Committee Co-chairs, with the support of a COA staff member, a team of talented volunteers, and community professionals, will guide the committee in defining and administering an annual action plan as well as coordinating the work of the sub-committees. Your interest and experience in the importance of accessibility will help the committee achieve its goals for an age-friendly Ottawa. We are looking for two leaders who are willing to work together to make this happen.
With three active sub-committees, the Ottawa Seniors Transportation Committee (OSTC) works with and for older adults by supporting initiatives and action on pedestrian safety and walkability, rural transportation, older drivers, and public/accessible transit.
French language skills would be an asset. We also recognize the diversity of the population we serve and encourage applicants who reflect this diversity.
Visit our website www.coaottawa.ca to apply. Questions can be directed to Roch Pilon, Director of Community Development at [email protected] . We look forward to hearing from you.
