Description

The communications Partner (Volunteer) will assist the Youth Safe Space / YSS Canada team with overall internal and external communications focusing on the development and implementation of a communications plan. The Communications Partner (CP) roles will include managing YSS social media platforms and the production of regular internal and external newsletters as well as other related communications tasks.

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
YSS Canada believes in the power of "Giving Back to the Community". The Communications Partner Volunteer opportunity will not only be an opportunity to give back to the community but also an opportunity to LEARN and SHARE. YSS will provide the support, tools, and resources needed for the volunteer to be fully engaged and contribute to our cause. While participating in various workshops and trainings, The CP will benefit from YSS networks and community engagement. We hope that this opportunity will help an interested volunteer to share their talents, learn new skills, and develop a sense of community belonging.
How will the organization benefit?
In this digital world, YSS values its presence online! Moving from the traditional way of engaging with the community, communications enhance most of our initial contact with our beneficiaries, volunteers, and everyone interested in learning about our work. Considering that YSS Canada is a youth organization, we aim to use all the possible platforms to engage with them. With the Communications Partner Volunteer, YSS will be able to engage with youth, volunteers, and our partners, as we strive to empower the young generations.
