Want to keep furry bellies full in Ottawa? The Ottawa Paw Pantry’s community pantries do just that!

With 5+ locations across the city, they offer centralized pick-up spots for pet parents in need. These pantries provide assistance to anyone in need, without judgment.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with existing community pantry locations to determine their supply needs on a regular basis.
• Develop and nurture relationships with current community pantry locations while exploring opportunities for new sustainable locations.
• Establish delivery schedule with the various pantry locations.
• Place order or work with leadership to place order for needed items
• Pull items from the shelf at our storage unit to assemble pet food delivery packages.
• Coordinate with a fellow volunteer to ensure timely delivery to Pantry locations.
• Uphold a high standard of respect for clients and other volunteers.

Requirements
• Ability to lift bags up to 40 lbs
• Possess a compassionate and judgment-free perspective towards poverty, income inequality, and their contributing factors
• Maintain a clear understanding of privacy rights and uphold client confidentiality at all times.

Please note, volunteers in this role do not have direct contact with animals.

Our storage unit is near Westboro and the pantry locations are: Nepean Hintonburg Centretown Vanier More locations to be added, however, this volunteer does not need access to a vehicle to complete this role. If they do, bonus!
