Cooking Volunteer (Thursday evenings, Ottawa South)

Description
Do you enjoy cooking and are looking for an opportunity to share your skills and support your community? Volunteer in our after-school Cooking program!
Christie Lake Kids is a nonprofit organization that provides free programs to children and youth from low-income households. We bring our programs right to the communities and tailor the activities to meet their needs.
You come in once a week for 1.5 hours to help the volunteer team teach kids how to make healthy meals and snacks. All groceries and materials will be provided, including kitchen space.
At Christie Lake Kids, you’ll find a fun dedicated community where you can share your skills and passion, gain experience, connect with kids and youth, and level the playing field so all children have a fair and equal chance to thrive.
Volunteers must be 18+, have two doses of COVID-19, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check under three years old (if you don’t have one, we can help you get it without cost).
