How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
Volunteering at CCH will give you the opportunity to network and build friendships; gain workplace experience and to give back to our community. Our Patient Advisors, with lived Patient or Care Giver experience, advise on hospital programing and processes to ensure the hospital always has our patient needs at the core of all we do.
How will the organization benefit?
Our Healthcare Community benefits tremendously from the many volunteer programs at CCH. Volunteers are most often the first, friendly face seen by patients and visitors to the hospital. Volunteers help people navigate and find where they need to be at hospital and they make our patients and visitors smile and feel at ease. Patient Advisors review programming and are part of program development and redesign. Volunteers manage our Family Care Giver Centre, they help within numerous departments and volunteers make a significant contribution by helping with projects and numerous fundraising initiatives such as our Gift Shop and the sale of lottery tickets.
