As a vital part of our commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking qualified and passionate individuals who are dedicated to contributing their skills and expertise to help guide our organization to new heights.

Responsibilities of Board Members: Board members play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing strategic guidance and oversight to the organization’s mission and goals.
2. Participating in regular board meetings to review and approve policies, budgets, and major decisions.
3. Contributing expertise and insights to support the organization’s growth and sustainability.
4. Actively participating in fundraising and advocacy efforts.
Qualifications and Requirements: We are seeking individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and experiences. Ideal candidates for the Board of Directors should possess the following qualifications:
1. Demonstrated commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
2. Leadership experience in a professional, nonprofit, or community setting.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to dedicate the necessary time and energy to fulfill board responsibilities.

All Board members adhere to the same eligibility, general responsibilities, attendance, and time commitment requirements.
Eligibility:
1. Knowledgeable about the activities/affairs of Breast Cancer Action (BCA).
2. Willing to dedicate the time, energy, talents, and enthusiasm required for the position.
3. Possesses good organizational skills.
General Responsibilities:
1. Support and defend policies and programs adopted by the Board of Directors.
2. Serve as a voting member of the Board of Directors.
3. Assist in the development of the Strategic Business Plan.
4. Submit a written report for inclusion in the Annual Report.
5. Submit written Board reports in advance for monthly board meetings and request agenda time if required.
6. Ensure fiscal responsibility of the portfolio to which the position is assigned.
7. Submit budget needs for the following fiscal year.
8. Conduct transition meetings with successors.
9. Perform other duties delegated by the President and/or Board of Directors.
10. All portfolios work in conjunction with the Executive Director.
Attendance and Time Commitment:
1. Expected attendance at monthly Board of Directors meetings (teleconference participation accepted in some circumstances).
2. Expected attendance at the Annual General Meeting.
3. Attendance at official activities and functions whenever possible.
Estimated time per month: 4-6 hours.
Director, Revenue Generation
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Report to the Board of Directors on the strategies, successes, and challenges of the Fundraising activities and initiatives.
2. Develop BCA partnership/fundraising/donor prospectus for publication and implementation.
3. Oversee the contracting procedure for the Chapter’s contributing partners.
4. Develop strategies to establish strategic partnerships with potential partners and donators at the local, government, individual, and corporate levels.
5. Monitor association and sector trends to discover best practices in fundraising by other organizations.
6. Work with the appropriate committee to develop and/or manage fundraising programs.
7. Ensure promotion of fundraising/donor efforts.
8. Ensure that promised benefits/deliverables are received by the partners.
9. Coordinate the production of a Partner Appreciation Reception (if required).
