The Ottawa Paw Pantry is currently recruiting a Driver Coordinator (volunteer position) to review driver roles and responsibilities with delivery driver candidates, guide applicants through on-boarding process, assign and coordinate with volunteers to ensure monthly deliveries have been completed.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate with drivers for pick-ups of donations/food around Ottawa and deliveries of food to clients based on requests from the Client Relations Manager
• Ensure drivers have completed the non-disclosure agreement and police record check prior to beginning.
• Find creative solutions to potential logistical conflicts or problems
• Communicate with Volunteer Manager to identify areas where volunteer drivers are needed
• Provide onboarding for new drivers, such as walking them through the pickup process at the storage unit
• Participate in leadership meetings (~6 weeks)

• Access to phone and computer on a regular basis to communicate with volunteers

• Self-starter and ability to work independently
• Creative problem solver who is comfortable managing people
