The Drivers/Pickups Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and overseeing the collection of donated goods from individuals. This role involves managing communication with donors, coordinating transportation, and maintaining up to date the list of drivers.

Essential Qualifications:
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Knowledge of HWF structure and activities
• Communication skills (written and oral)
• Organizational skills
• Computer skills (text editing, emails, spreadsheets, databases, Google sheets)
• English or French proficiency

Asset Qualifications:
• Second language proficiency (French, English)

Activities:
• Monitors the HWF Pick-up Google sheet to take into account the number of items given by a donator, the physical effort required, the type of dwelling, whether there are stairs, elevators, etc.
• Opens up the HWF Pick-up Google sheet to map out the different pickup points and decide the most efficient path to reduce travel time and fuel costs.
• Use tools like Google Maps, MapQuest, or specialized route optimization apps.
• A week before the pickups, calls or emails the donators to confirm the approximate pickup time and resolve any issues the donator may have.
• Keeps track of all the pickup drivers in a spreadsheet or shared document. This tool allows the drivers to simply add their name to the available slots.
• Ensure the drivers have all necessary information about each location and items to be collected.
• Sends regularly reminders to the drivers who have signed up.
• Updates the drivers list as required.

Time commitment: 4 8 hours / month
