Description
We are seeking a volunteer designer to help create a series of 3 to 5 posters featuring common birds, trees, flowers and animals from one of the natural areas where we are working. The posters are intended for a general public audience, with a photo or illustration of the species and the name of the species in French, English and Algonquin. We will provide the wording and translations, we have access to some imagery, but the volunteer may need to seek other / better imagery and ensure permissions are obtained for use. The posters are for an educational purpose and non-commercial. The desired format would be a larger poster (24″x36″) for display and a smaller handout version (11″x17″).
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This opportunity is a great way to build a portfolio and put design skills to use. The volunteer could include their name and contact information on the posters and we would be pleased to provide a reference for school or work.
How will the organization benefit?
These educational tools will allow people to learn more about the richness of the area and the species they may encounter.
