SHO is looking for a team of volunteers who can provide ongoing support for and evaluation of our social, environmental and financial sustainability and other factors that affect performance. SHO is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and creating a better overall environmental impact in the community. Volunteers will first focus on ecological issues such as water and energy use solutions and then expand to improving other aspects of our chain.
How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
• Help to improve physical and financial access to healthy foods for households experiencing food insecurity
• Develop new skills and knowledge related to growing food and food security
• Earn volunteer hours for school or reference purposes
• Meet new, like-minded individuals
