The Enchanté Network is Canada’s largest network connecting and supporting over 200 pride centers and 2SLGBTQI+ service providers from coast to coast to coast. We support our member organizations by advocating for the resources, public policies, and legislation changes that they need to serve their communities and to sustain a thriving national ecosystem of 2SLGBTQI+ organizations across Canada.
Be a part of the biggest 2SLGBTQI+ conference in Canada! The Enchanté Network is organizing The National 2SLGBTQI+ Conference 2023 with the theme: Combatting 2SLGBTQI+ Hate in Ottawa at the Delta Hotel from September 16 to 18, 2023. Volunteers will play a significant role in ensuring the Conference runs smoothly, and we have a variety of opportunities available. The Floater/Runner role is described below.
As a Floater/Runner, you will ensure that the conference is running smoothly by floating throughout the event and offering support where needed, such as running equipment during sessions, as well as providing guidance to attendees throughout the conference.
Responsibilities
Provide assistance to attendees by answering questions and offering information regarding the program agenda
Guide attendees in the right direction around the venue as well as to their seats/workshop rooms, etc.
Provide assistance to conference and the Enchanté Network’s staff by addressing any needs that arise during the conference
Additional Details
You will be providing assistance for the full day on Saturday and Sunday (September 16th and 17th) and for a half-day on Monday (September 18th)
French/Bilingualism is an asset
Previous experience with disability support is an asset
