Remain up-to-date on relevant legislation and policies, deliver presentations (alone, or with one or more team members) on EoL Choices/MAID in French & possibly English, and Advance Health Care Planning (AHCP) workshops in French, as requested by community organizations, or as initiated by chapter (6-8 times/year). Demeurer au courant des lois et des politiques pertinentes, offrir des présentations et des ateliers (seul(e) ou avec un ou quelques membres de l’équipe) sur les choix de fin de vie et l’aide médicale à mourir et cela en français et possiblement en anglais, et sur la planification préalable des soins de santé (PPSS), à la demande d’organisations communautaires ou à la demande de la section (6 à 8 fois par année).

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
This position offers the volunteer the possibility of deepening their knowledge about end-of-life choices, medical assistance in dying (MAID), and Advance Health Care Planning, with the support of other volunteer presenters in the chapter. Offers the volunteer the chance to use their presentation and facilitation skills, both in person and via Zoom. Ce Poste offre la possibilité au (à la) bénévole d'approfondir ses connaissances sur la question de fin de vie, et de l'aide médicale à mourir, tout en etant appuyé(e) par les bénévoles de la section d'Ottawa de Mourir dans la Dignité Canada "MDDC). Permet aussi au (à la) bénévole dútiliser ses talents de présentateur/trice, soit en personne soit via Zoom.
How will the organization benefit?
Dying With Dignity Canada's Ottawa Chapter would be able to meet its goal of providing this education to French-speaking people in Ottawa and surrounding areas. La section d'Ottawa pouura compléter sa mission d'éducation auprès de la population francophone dans les environs d'Ottawa.
