Carty House, a registered charity that provides transitional housing and support to refugee women in Ottawa, is seeking a dedicated person to volunteer as a Friday Grocery Shopper. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing groceries for the residents every Friday, ensuring that they have access to fresh and nutritious food to fulfill their basic needs.
A list of needed items will be provided to you via email every Thursday before the end of the day, allowing you to plan and perform the shopping trip easily. Carty house does the grocery shopping at Independent Grocer on Alta Vista drive. With the assistance of Carty House personnel and residents, you will have the flexibility to choose whether to leave the groceries on the porch or assist in transporting them into the kitchen.
