We’re looking to add a Fundraising Manager to our team to act as a co-lead for the Outreach umbrella of our small but mighty organization. If you’re the successful candidate, you’ll be helping us build out fundraising programs, including events, grants, and donor relations.
This volunteer will be responsible for working towards fundraising goals that will in turn help the organization continue to feed pets in need.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Community Manager to strategize on potential partnerships
Assist with initiatives, event planning, and fundraising targets (with direction of the Executive Director and/or Board)
Write and send the monthly donor newsletter, with support from the Leadership Team
Personalize the donor experience from first donation to ongoing monthly donors
Ensure thank you letters are sent promptly, including through social media (where appropriate)
Plan and draft email fundraising campaigns to recruit donors and monthly donors
Email new contacts from events or website contact in an effort to convert them to donors
Co-managing a team of volunteers to assist with initiatives and event planning by working with the Volunteer Manager to ensure events and locations are fully staffed with the required materials at all time, with the assistance of other team leaders
Participate in grant delivery by working with and supporting the Grant Writer role
Attends all Outreach Team meetings and Leadership Team meetings (approx. every 6 weeks)
Works closely with other team leaders to create all collateral materials including, but not limited to, brochures, newsletters, posters, special projects, and annual reports
Requirements:
Funding development experience
Outside-the-box thinking for fundraising initiatives
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Working knowledge of a smartphone and Google Docs preferred
