Position Description: Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa is seeking up to two board members to begin a three-year term starting in June of 2024. Members of the board serve in partnership with other board members to provide strategic leadership and governance oversight for all activities of Habitat Greater Ottawa. Board members participate on board committees, as well as determine affiliate policy in areas of governance, human resources, planning, and finance. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop professionally and contribute meaningfully to an organization with a recognizable, trusted brand and solid reputation that is seeking to grow.

In our efforts to build a more diverse and inclusive board of directors with various experiences and perspectives, we are especially interested in recruiting women and/or non-binary people, individuals representing the communities we serve (i.e. families that need assistance with housing) and other equity seeking groups such as Racialized, Black and/or People of Colour, People with Disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+, and Indigenous Peoples.
