The Online ReStore Product Specialist will support the Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa ReStore by helping promote and sell unique specialty items online. This role involves capturing high-quality images, writing compelling descriptions, and managing listings for items that are selected by the Store Managers. These items are typically off the sales floor and may include specialty or rare finds. The volunteer will also monitor the listings and respond to inquiries from potential buyers remotely.
• Visit the ReStore periodically to photograph selected specialty items.
• Write detailed and engaging descriptions that highlight the unique qualities of each item.
• Post items on designated online platforms (e.g., Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, or others).
• Monitor online listings, ensuring items are accurately represented and up to date.
• Respond to inquiries from potential buyers in a timely and professional manner (this can be done remotely).
• Collaborate with Store Managers to identify which items will be featured online.
