Hang out with a vehicle-loving individual with Autism

Description
Stephen (aged 41) likes playing guitar and going to concerts. He enjoys learning about how things work. He has an interest trucks, cars, trains, and loves watching tow truck TV shows like Highway Through Hell and Rescue 401. Stephen needs a companion who knows how to lead a conversation and shares the same interests with him. He is eager to spend time with a volunteer at the movies, have a bowl of Pho at a restaurant, or just hang out in the community.
Stephen has Autism, has good memory, is well-mannered and organized. He needs support in any last-minute changes outside of his routine. He would also need help dressing for extreme weather and scheduling any appointments. Becoming a friend to Stephen means developing a meaningful connection based on support and friendship.
You need to be over the age of 18 for this volunteer role.

When you volunteer, you are making a profound impact by reducing loneliness and isolation, increasing self-confidence, and improving the overall mental and physical health of people with disabilities in the community.
How will the organization benefit?
Join our team of more than 250 volunteers or Allies who are enriching the lives of people with disabilities in the community. ABLE2’s Matching Program team pairs volunteers with individuals with disabilities who share the same interests and activities, so that matches develop a meaningful, new friendship. Volunteering will change the life of a person living with disability, and as many of our volunteers have experienced, will change your life too.
