Management Board – Volunteer Opportunity

We are searching for leaders committed to equity and social justice in our community to serve on the management board of our Community Day Programs – the Well/la Source, St. Luke’s Table, and Centre 454.

If you are passionate about poverty reduction, community building and ending homelessness in Ottawa then our board needs you. Operated by the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa, these three day programs are pillars in the social service sector of Ottawa, providing supports and a suite of services for those who are experiencing poverty or homelessness or who are precariously housed. Our doors are open to all seeking belonging, support, safety and community. We work to empower people to discover their potential and achieve their goals.

Our programs are guided by a volunteer management board of about 10 to 12 members. We are currently looking for new members with experience or interest in fundraising. As a board member, you would also sit on the Fundraising sub-comittee, which is responsible for achieving approved targets to raise funds from individual donors, organizations, foundations, and events.

As we are committed to a diverse, inclusive and equitable environment we welcome candidates from diverse life experiences and backgrounds.

Our board meets one evening approximately every month and members will also be required to serve on other sub-committees. A commitment of at least two years is desirable.

Please forward your resume/or bio and statement of interest to the board chair, Lorraine Tell at [email protected]

Candidates will be invited for an interview and are subject to a police records check.
