Location: In-person and/or Virtual

Commitment: Minimum of 6 hours per week, usually in one-hour one-to-one sessions

Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate volunteers aged 18 and above to work with high school-aged youth in a tutoring capacity. Our primary need is for tutors in Maths, Sciences, and English, though we welcome volunteers from all subject areas.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one tutoring sessions to high school students (ages 13-18) in your area of expertise.
Be available for a minimum of 6 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options.
Work with students either in-person, virtually, or a combination of both, based on the student’s needs and your availability.

Develop and maintain a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older.
Comfortable working with high school students aged 13-18.
Ability to travel to students’ locations or work virtually.
Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Proof of proficiency in your tutoring subject area.
Prior experience working with youth is considered an asset.
