Homeless Prevention Community Partnership (HPCP) Volunteers
Description
The realm of homelessness may appear distant from your own, yet in certain aspects, it is remarkably close. For any individual, the loss of employment, the onset of physical of mental disability could potentially lead to overwhelming despair. The volunteer has an important role in supporting families at risk of homelessness, in addition or in part, the following skills and requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Written communications skills
Attention to detail
Understanding of issues related to homelessness
Computer skills (text editing, emails, spreadsheets, Google sheets)
Language Skills
Activities:
Support Clients in Housing search.
Support Clients in the various administrative procedures
Share the list of resources and analyze the eligibility of clients for certain services
Supporting families in navigating the system
Support clients in their job search
Allow Clients to benefit from the network of landlords currently being established
