Assisting the Environmental Services Manager regarding cleaning and disinfection of the facility. Assist with laundry services. Assisting the Infection Prevention And Control Manager (IPAC) to ensure that isolated residents unable due to cognitive issues comply with isolation protocol , are redirected away from other residents

How will this opportunity benefit the volunteer?
The volunteer will gain knowledge and experience in cleaning and disinfection protocols as well as knowledge, information and understanding of the various disease/infection controls utilized in a Long-term care Facility to minimize and prevent the transmission of infections. The Volunteer will acquire a basic foundation of IPAC which can be new learned skills which can be added to their overall skill set and resumes.

Volunteers who provide assistance and support to Environmental and IPAC Managers at Carlingview Manor play an important role in the on-going health care and support of the residents and the overall cleanliness of the facility.
